A few days ago, I completed writing another new song, and this time I stole a line from my own poem (which I wrote a few weeks back) – that’s allowed, right? And the line I stole ended up being the song title. Here are the lyrics:

truth serum green tea

It’s not lost on me
All the kind words that we share
All the subtle love energy
All the nuances in the air

It’s not lost on me
I’m a fool for your endless charms
truth serum green tea
I’m a victim of its magic warmth

nothing’s gonna bring me home
this tattered map is a useless crutch
I’m a tumblin’ rough old stone
and I just don’t mind it much

It’s not lost on me
All the building and the breaking down
All the in-your-face and so discreet
All the stifling and living out loud

It’s not lost on me
I’m a fool for your false alarms
truth serum green tea
I’m a victim of its naked charms

nothing’s gonna bring me home
this tattered map is a useless crutch
I’m a tumblin’ rough old stone
and I just don’t mind it much

It’s not lost on me
I’m a fool for your endless charms
truth serum green tea
truth serum green tea
truth serum green tea
truth serum green tea
